In the area of the Pomeranian Investment Center, near the Port of Gdansk and the DCT container terminal, we carried out earthworks for the construction of a modern battery module factory of the Swedish company Northvolt. The scope of work included preparation of platforms, execution of ground reinforcement: piling/dynamic compaction/overloading. Subsequently, embankments for the future hall structure were made over the entire area of over 100,000 sqm.
Earthworks performed by Richert company:
● removal of the humus layer -23,000 m3
● working platform of non-cohesive soil from the site – 22,500 m3
● working platform of sand - 55,000 m3
● sand pile work platform - 13,000 m3
● excavation of trenches- 1500,000 m3
● replacement of non-bearing soil-over 100,000 m3
● execution of embankments- 58,700 m3
● execution of overburden embankment - 53,400 m3.
The entire scope of work was completed in less than 9 months. Work began at the end of October 2021 and ended at the beginning of July 2022.
