Railroad reconstruction is divided into four sections: section 2.1 - railroad line no. 227 from km 0.654 to km 3.495 and track of line 249 from km 0.586 to km 3.534 in terms of track layout with subgrade and surface drainage, and section 2. 2 Gdańsk Zaspa Towarowa Station (tracks of line No. 227 from km 3.495 to km 5.001, tracks of line No. 249 from km 3.534 to km 5.001 and tracks of line No. 722 from km 0.000 to km 0.192) in terms of track layout with subgrade and surface drainage. Section 2.3 - railroad line No. 722 from km 0.192 to km 1.826 and section 2.4 Gdańsk-Vistula km 2.2631 to 3.656.
As the main subcontractor of earthworks, our task was to perform:
● demolition of railroad ballast from old tracks
● demolition of foundations of old traction posts
● working platforms for piling rigs
● reinforcement of the subsoil by replacing the soil
● track bed foundations
● embankments and excavations
Quantities performed:
● ballast excavation - approx. 65,000 m3
● Excavation - approx. 150,000 m3
● Embankments - approx. 180,000 m3
● Pavement construction layers - approx. 200,000 m2
