The Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway was rebuilt in place of the Kashubian Railway, which existed on the Wrzeszcz - Kielpinek section between 1914 and 1945. Built length of the line - 19.5 km (18 km double-track line towards Gdynia + 1.5 km connector towards Koscierzyna)
Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway was named the fourth most important event of the 25th anniversary in Pomerania in a poll organized by Gazeta Wyborcza-Trójmiasto. In 2016 Pomorska Kolej Metropolitalna the most important investment of 2015, according to Radio Gdansk listeners
We started work in May 2013 and completed it in April 2015
The scope of work included, among others:
● humus removal 104,665 m3
● excavation of 468,930 m3
● disposal of excavated material 426,799 m3
● embankments 302,148 m3
